According to Today's Papers at slate.com: At Chinese President Hu Jintao's visit with President Bush the White House announcer welcomed the "Republic of China." Or as it's known colloquially: Taiwan. note: the sarcasm of the last sentence was Eric Umansky's. I'd never steal that kind of snarkiness.
