The Buffalo Sabres are 8-0 to start the new season. It's been such an amazing ride that I shall enjoy until ... For a while I was nervous and doing the Buffalo fan thing ("jeez I hope they stop talking about us because it'll jinx us" or "the guys will start believing their own hype"). But then I realized that reacting like that is chickenshit. A champion has an air and a directed focus and given the Sabres start (in the wake of heady pre-season predictions), they've got it, too.So game on to all comers. I'm gonna enjoy this.

a great ride indeed. at least there's something to cheer about, since losman can't seem to get anything done for the bills. i laughed so hard at kotalik's goal last nite.
